The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
